ABOUT IMBIBE FUSION BELLYDANCE

Imbibe Fusion Bellydance is a Newcastle based school, established in 2009. At Imbibe Fusion Bellydance you will be immersed in training that teaches fundamental bellydance movements, fusion stylings and explores modern dance influences.

Imbibe caters for people new to bellydance, as well more seasoned dancers looking to explore a new style, develop their fusion technique or individual dance.

Imbibe Fusion Bellydance is a tribe of women who love to connect, share, and open themselves to the creativity of movement. (Oh, and we love to get our 'bling' on!)

Imbibe Fusion Bellydance is about building strength in body and mind, developing artistry in dance and sharing in a sisterhood of amazing women.

ABOUT ZOË

Zoë fell into her first bellydance class in 2002, thanks to the (gentle) coersion from her dearest friend. Zoë's first teacher, Angelina of Sahira Bellydance lured Zoë swiftly, with the beauty and femininity of Oriental and Egyptian styles. There are definite glimpses of Zoë’s original dance roots in her fusion bellydance stylings.

Zoë graces stages in Australian festivals and local events. If you witness Zoë's performances or choreographies you will see the unique blend of strong, subtle and creative fusion technique with oriental flair. Zoë blends fusion bellydance with modern, alluring beats. She is often credited with having some killer class playlists!

Zoë continually pursues opportunities to learn from local, national and international dancers that inspire her. Learning from Kami Liddle and Zoe Jakes in Hawaii has been one highlight in Zoë’s dance education. Zoë credits many Australian dancers as significant teachers and inspirations to her dance development including Xaeda Raqasa, La Kita, Antonia of Fay Arcana and Lilly Sim.

Zoe will be forever adoring and grateful for the generous encouragement, sharing of great knowledge and skill, and the mindnumbing beauty of her first teachers - Angelina and  Kirrily (Bahirah Bellydance) and  Fifi Noir

"Zoe is an amazing teacher and I’ve never felt so welcome in a casual dance class before. It’s a very inclusive, body positive environment. One of the things I like the most is that it is not competitive at all, no matter whether you’ve been dancing for years or new everyone is made to feel welcome..."
